Part 1

• Suppose you are      migrating instruction developed for a face-to-face classroom to the web      for online distance learning in your work environment. Propose at least      two changes that you would make to classroom instruction when preparing it      for the web. Provide a rationale for the changes.

• Examine the      Concerns-Based Adoption Model (CBAM) described in Chapter 15 of the Designing Effective Instruction text and note      the stages in Table 15.2. Discuss how these stages might influence the      instructional design product/process both in general and for your specific      project.

The concerns based adoption model in Chapter 15 highlights the effective instruction text on how it influences the product and/or process in the lack of resources in rural communities.

RESPONSES: These stages will help enhance the education part by analyzing the process, pointing out learning objectives, create a time line, and trainings that will help. Having those it will be used to identify gaps in knowledge, skills, and attitudes of students or employees, analyzing learning needs and developing learning material to close them. Instructional design helps give meaningful and effective instructions to learners in a way that will make learning easier for them. Instructional design is the creation of learning experiences and materials resulting in needs, designing a process, developing materials and evaluating their effectiveness for more information on Instructional Design can be found by several peer reviews that have also focused on The Lack of Resources in Rural communities. 

CBAM: The Concerns-Based Adoption Model address each one of these assumptions: the individual’s concerns about the innovation, the particular manner in which the innovation is delivered or implemented, and the adaptation of the innovation to the individual. The change process is an extremely personal experience and how it is perceived by the individual will strongly influence the outcome;Individuals progress through various stages regarding their emotions and capabilities relating to the innovation; The availability of a client-centered diagnostic/prescriptive model can enhance the individual’s facilitation during staff development; and people responsible for the change process must work in an adaptive and systematic way where progress needs to be monitored constantly. So in all the school development and implementation in rural places, the federal government should increase funding for the Full Service Community Schools Program, and the U.S. Department of Education should provide technical assist through intermediary organizations to help level the field for rural districts.

• The planning of      an instructional design project requires a scope of work, scheduling and      resource allocation, and budgeting. Examine three main challenges      that an instructional designer might encounter when preparing a project      plan. Suggest ways to overcome or address these challenges in your own      project.
