Task  

You are required to write a short review of several resources,  provided below, including a micro-credential, that relate to selected course topics. You will critically analyse the key message/s and their applicability to contemporary management practices.

The task also aims to build your analytical and reflective skills by applying content knowledge on organisational problem-solving . 

PURPOSE: This ‘short review’ is scheduled early in the semester, to enable us to give you feedback on your writing and analytical skills (at a Masters level of study). 

  • This will enable you and your tutor to determine what your strengths are, and identify where improvements in your academic skills need to be made  for you to meet the expectations of the other assignments.

Submission Instructions 

Before you submit your assignmentundertake the following:

  • Keep a back-up copy of all work on a device other than your computer in case you experience computer problems.
  • Use the Study Support Hub and Ask the Library to check your assignment meets the criteria
  • Reference check – check  that you have applied the RMIT Harvard  (or Harvard if you are using EndNote)  referencing style
  • Check for plagiarism and similarity through Turnitin – see the Assignment submission link in Canvas. You can submit your paper multiple times through Turnitin. The last submission will be the copy that will be marked.
  • Keep a record or screenshot of your submission time in case this is queried by your tutor.

Feedback

You can expect to receive marks and feedback on in-course assessment work in time to improve your performance in related assessment tasks later in the course.

  • You will normally receive marks and feedback on in-course assessment tasks within 10 working days of the deadline for submission of that work, or, where an extension has been granted, within 10 working days of agreed extended due date.

Academic Integrity and Misconduct

Students demonstrate academic integrity in their assessment practices by:  

  • engaging with assessment activities in an honest way;
  • providing accountability for the authorship and originality of work submitted;
  • acknowledging the work of others and the re-use of original work.

Extensions of time & Special Consideration

Extensions are available for unforeseen circumstances of a short-term nature. 

  • Applications must be submitted to your tutor and /or coordinator at least one working day before the due date of the assessment.
  • Extensions can be approved for a maximum of one week (seven calendar days) past the due date for an assessment. (Where students need an extension exceeding one week they must instead apply for special consideration.)

Special consideration is available for unexpected circumstances outside students’ control. These include but are not limited to: unexpected short-term ill health, and unavoidable family, work, cultural or religious commitments.

  • An application for special consideration is made in advance of an assessment wherever possible but will normally be accepted within five working days after the assessment date.
