When seeking future job opportunities, you will need a professional résumé to present to a school/district highlighting your education, certification, and professional experience. A résumé provides potential employers with an idea of who you are and how you would benefit their organization.

Develop a professional résumé include the following:

• Name and contact information: Full name, phone number, email address, personal address (optional),
• Statement or objectives to describe yourself and how you stand out from other candidates
• Education (name of institution, major of study, and academic achievements)
• Certifications
• Work experience
• Additional skills

It is highly recommended that you obtain 2-3 letters of recommendation to include in your professional portfolio.

APA format is not required, but solid academic writing is expected.
