An Annotated Bibliography on Providing Affordable Housing in the USA to Reduce Homelessness.
Homelessness is a problem in many places around the world. One important way to solve this problem is to provide affordable housing to low-income people. One of the main causes of the homelessness problem has been found to be the lack of affordable housing due to the constant housing rise on the market. Even though some regions have taken steps to fix this issue, there is still a lot to do. We need to address and rectify the growing affordable housing crisis in our city or region to reduce the rise in homelessness and promote a more compassionate community. By digging deeper into academic and online sources, we can learn about methods, strategies, and solutions that have been tried to remediate to this problem.

This article addresses some of the most popular myths about homelessness by giving facts. It shows that there are many things that can lead to people being homeless, such as poverty, a lack of affordable housing, trauma, mental illness, and personal problems. Even though the number of homeless people has gone down overall, the text talks about worrisome rises in some groups of homeless people. The article also talks about how unstable housing affects minorities more than other groups, and how the high cost of living puts a wider range of people at risk of being homeless. Furthermore, the article discusses some homeless solutions like permanent supportive housing and prevention from homelessness.

This source will be especially useful for the solutions part of my essay because it gives a more detailed look at how shelters can be reimagined.

Based on the article, there are many things that can lead to people being homeless, including mental illness, substance abuse, and the rising housing costs. The article also discussed potential solutions and current initiatives aimed to alleviate the crisis.
The Week is a widely recognized and well-known news magazine, the source holds significant credibility. This source is very important to the topic of the essay because it looks at the homeless crisis from many different angles. I can use this article’s ideas all over my essay, especially when describing the size and complexity of Homelessness.

Its general approach, which includes the voices of many stakeholders, ensures a deep knowledge, and makes it very relevant to the topic of my essay. Insights from this section can be used in other parts of my essay, especially when talking about what makes people homeless. This article helps make a clear picture of how complex the problem is based on data and real-life experiences.
