Compare the disability rights perspective with the rehabilitation perspective.
Disability rights are long-term, while Rehabilitation focuses on the short-term and guides a client to have barely a little disability if possible. Rehabilitation is working on the disability medically with impairments. Disability is exposed to discrimination and societal barriers. Whereas, the rehabilitation perspective is working with equipment to benefit their strength, so they do not have to be disabled anymore.

Explain which perspective you feel is more appropriate when working with individuals who may have disabilities with regard to civil rights.
I would feel more appropriate working with hearing impaired disabled clients due to having more knowledge regarding the specific disabilities and their civil rights. My father is hearing impaired and no he is not on disability, but he has introduced me to several friends of his who are on disability for several disabilities other than being hearing impaired. With his friends having more disabilities than just one their civil rights increase due to the rights they have within the world.

The disability rights perspective
It argues that people with disabilities should have access to social and advantageous medical interventions, that people with disabilities are seen as different but equal, that one’s commitments to socioeconomic deliberations would enrich the fullness of ideas, views, narratives, and viewpoints and that community should abandon the term disability in favor of the less valuation term anomaly. It advocates for educating people to change negative views and attitudes about terrible situations or discrepancies, the honoring diversity, cooperating between top and low nations to develop strategies for changing negative attitudes with differences, and the incorporating of all of these issues as part of a global bioethics agenda which advocates for people with anomalies’ civil rights.
On the other hand,
The rehabilitation perspective.
A view of criminal justice that views crime as a manifestation of dissatisfaction and fury caused by social inequity, which may be mitigated by providing individuals with opportunities to better their lives via traditional methods. This viewpoint aids former criminals in obtaining employment, which gives them money and significance in their lives. Mentoring, accommodation placements, job placement, and job placement are among some services.
Which perspective is more appropriate when working with individuals with these disabilities about civil rights?
disability rights perspective
It claims that people with disabilities have been entitled to protection and benefits from the law and that States Parties must take adequate steps to ensure reasonable accommodations are made available. These precautions are not taken into account. It further states that discrimination in exercising rights must be outlawed, avoided, and eradicated. It also implies that persons in the most disadvantaged or vulnerable circumstances, who experience the most significant challenges in achieving their rights, should be prioritized.

RESPONSE2
The disability rights perspective focuses on individuals w/ disabilities being provided the same rights, opportunities and protection as everyone. The goal behind it is to promote equality and reduce discrimination/ (DiNitto & Johnson, 2016). The rehabilitation perspective is the punishment to apply treatment and training to the offender so that is made capable of returning to society and functioning as a law-abiding community member. (DiNitto & Johnson, 2016).
From my perspective I’m learning towards DiNitto & Johnson (2016) because with normal living comes disabilities which the diverse group varies far as mentally as well as physically. The disability rights view disability as an aspect of human diversity and is a mental human experience. DiNitto & Johnson, (2016).
