It is a methodist camp meeting engraving. The paintingwas
created by Lossing-Barrett in the year 1856. I think it was made because it shows people the emotions that had been made there.
People who would have read or studied this item at the time it was created were most likely of had experienced the camp meeting, and thought
That the painting would help give people a good perspective of what they have seen.
